Show ‘N’ Shine in Support of Cancer Research

Providing the right equipment for the job is critical in promoting safe and efficient deliveries. Dowler-Karn has always strived to present a fleet that attracts drivers as well as customers. It is also one of our largest investments in our business. By employing two shifts of mechanics in our own St Thomas truck shop, regular attention is also given to ensuring uptime through a rigorous maintenance program.
We are thankful that our team of professional drivers are also motivated to showcase their equipment with regular upkeep. This often leads to comments from the general public along with a positive reception from customers. After all, it is a rolling billboard. And quality service starts with a quality mindset.

On that note, Paul Klachan of our Lubricants Distribution Centre team was proud to showcase his lubricants truck at the Big Rig Truck Nationals held at the St Thomas Dragway in support of “Trucking for a Cure”. This event, held in August, was a thrilling weekend for big rig enthusiasts. Among the activities were big rig drag racing, a massive show ‘n’ shine, along with vendors and displays onsite. Paul was motivated to represent Dowler-Karn and entered the competition, taking home the award for BEST Multi-axle truck. Congrats Paul… awesome job.

Trucking For a Cure not only raises awareness and funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation but also builds bridges between commercial drivers, the industry, the public at large, and hope to unite trucking enthusiasts behind such a meaningful cause.
