Preparation and Training are Keys to Success

Dowler-Karn has always strived to provide support to our first responders, be it through onsite training with our local fire services or with our broader industry partners. In April, we were pleased to once again host Emergency Response Assistance Canada (ERAC) at our South Edgeware Road rail terminal located in St Thomas. We operate this facility on behalf of Factor Gas Liquids, our primary propane supply partner. 

ERAC, for those who are not familiar, is a not-for-profit corporation created by industry for industry, and is a subsidiary of the Canadian Propane Association (CPA). As an emergency preparedness and response organization, they are instrumental in assisting hundreds of oil and gas and transportation organizations requiring emergency response plans (ERPs) in creating them. In addition, they provide emergency response capabilities from coast to coast and offshore, in Canadian territorial waters, for flammable gases and stationary tanks. As they like to share, ERAC is ready to assist its Plan Participants by keeping their company, community and clients safe.
