Dowler-Karn, A Division of McDougall Energy Inc., is giving back this holiday season to the communities it operates within. Six food banks across southwestern Ontario are fortunate to receive donations towards their Christmas pantry programs.
Funds were distributed to:
- Helping Hand Food Bank, Tillsonburg
- Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre, St. Mary’s
- The Inn of the Good Shepherd, Sarnia
- Outreach for Hunger, Chatham
- St Thomas Elgin Food Bank / The Caring Cupboard, St. Thomas
- UHC – Food Bank Association Hub of Opportunities, Windsor/ Essex
These deserving organizations provide valuable programs and support services to many individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. With the assistance of loyal volunteers, community support, and donations, they provide clients with essential food supplies, including fresh and healthy options. With the increased costs of groceries, rent, and other expenses, food banks aim to ease the burden of financial stress, especially during the Christmas season.
“McDougall Energy and Group of Companies is built on the support of communities we operate within, and we are committed to giving back to dedicated organizations that help make a difference every day,” says Darren McDougall, President of McDougall Energy Inc. “By supporting various food banks and Christmas Hamper programs in the regions we operate in, we hope to bring extra joy to children, families, and individuals who could use additional support this holiday season.”
Local Dowler-Karn team members met with the charity recipients throughout December, gifting them with donations and thanking them for their service to their communities.
